How do I become a temple worker in the LDS? ›

Requirements for Temple Workers

Be endowed, honor temple covenants, and have a current temple recommend. Have a strong testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Not currently have an annotation on his or her membership record.

Attending the temple two or three times a year is good, so long as we do so with a sincere and pure heart. We can encourage our Church leaders to organize trips to the temple. When we are not able to attend, let's try to prepare ourselves so that when the time comes, we can go with great joy.

There are different types of temple workers, from those who volunteer a few hours when they are able to those who volunteer in 4-6 hour shifts every week. Training is a regular part of temple service as well.

In case anyone searches this, the answer is "After 90 days the temple would check with the stake president. If he approves, no need to issue a new recommend."

Using digital signatures is the most secure method for issuing temple recommends, and where possible, digital signatures should be used. Church leaders expect that by December 13, 2021, all Church units will be using LCR.

All LDS Church members who choose to serve as missionaries or participate in a celestial marriage in a temple must first complete the first endowment ceremony.
