8/8/24 🌟 Team Building Through a Lens 📸✨ and Easing Back into Work After Holidays 🌞At Association of Nordic Engineers (ANE) we decided to kick off this new season with a creative bonding experience – a team photo session 📸 to:♾️ Step out of the traditional work environment and our comfort zones;♾️ Have fun and spend quality time together;♾️ Celebrate work anniversaries (Tove Keldsen has been with ANE for one year, and I started at ANE on August 8th, 2016)♾️ Create a cherished memory for Ella Hardam Hill who will be leaving us in September.And you know what?💡Taking the time to transition smoothly from holiday bliss to workplace buzz should be the new labour guideline. This approach made my return to work more enjoyable. How about you? Heading to the early morning start of the Association of Nordic Engineers (ANE) board meeting. We are going to evaluate our ongoing activities and have a crucial discussion on our EU priorities. This meeting, a significant milestone, resonates with symbolic gestures. My T-shirt, calling for a “Reality Check,” serves as a reminder that we’ve got to put in the effort to get things done. Combined with the red it symbolises the drive and energy required to implement our actions.While rushing to the meeting, my thoughts drifted to a conversation I had with Trond Markussen yesterday. He has decided not to run for re-election this fall, a significant change on the horizon. Even though I believe that everything happens according to a plan, not mine 🤣 but a Divine, I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sadness at the thought of soon parting ways with the best-ever boss and a great person. Our eight-year cooperation was marked by mutual loyalty, professionalism, and respect, even amidst the occasional disagreements that two control freaks are bound to have😂.However, every ending is a new beginning and time to anticipate fresh opportunities and prepare for a shift. Delighted by the outcomes of the recent #EUelections2024 in the Nordics and it's great to see many of the candidates I had the pleasure of meeting in the spring being elected.
